Trivia: Did you know that Dryden Artists have made a pop art image "famous" too? The image is called, Shark Dog. It was originally a mistake that students thought was brilliant. So they created a theme song and video for it. The original is also in the art room.

I was out for a motorcycle ride on this partly cloudy afternoon with my husband when I was struck with another creativity idea for the iPads. Mr. Fuglestad always sees something in every cloud so when we returned I photographed a cloud using the iPad and had him draw over it in Skitch to show me what he saw. Doesn't the iPad offer cool ways to visually communicate? The picture is below. I guess he saw an angry pig this time:)

Last Spring I went through our digital art archives at Dryden and entered over 76 pieces of Dryden art into the Celebrating Art Contest. I was told that many of our beautiful pieces were selected to be published in their book. So many were chosen that I received a free book for the art room. (You know if you were chosen, because you filled out a permission slip before school ended). My book arrived today and it is amazing to see! I photographed the pages that had Dryden art below. As many of you may already know, Dryden has a project, Rotoscope Animation on iPads, in the running for $15,000 on the McGraw-Hill STEMie Awards. That would buy a lot of iPad for our students!
