I was first introduced to the progression animation idea when I saw the work of Andy Martin and his plasticine rhythm workshop. His plasticine rhythm loops are made with stop-motion animation using clay that was built in a progression and used to replace the previous step in the animation to make it grow, change, shrink, etc. I love the way he used his hand to make it apear that his touch causes the changes or motion.
