Dryden Artists are making their mark during our Dot Day celebration week. There is a lonely white soffit in the hallway outside the music room that is begging for color.
A couple years ago I won a raffle for art supplies and used some of the money to buy five 20" square canvases that would span that space. I was inspired by Janine Campbell's middle schoolers' collaborative paintings. This week in honor of International Dot Day, students will collaboratively create a circle painting (see Marcia Beckett's students) that will give them a chance to make their mark and leave a legacy at Dryden. Take a look at the time lapse of students working and the resources that inspired them below. Be sure to come back for updates! |
