Students were given roles, iPads, bendable monsters, instruction sheets, and 20 minutes to make a collaborative stop motion animation monster dance video.
Dryden's class of 2012 is ready to graduate from high school. We invited our former dolphins back to elementary school to walk the hallways as a way for the teachers and students to see their role in the continuum of learning.
Many former Dryden teachers came back to attend the reception in the courtyard afterwards so these students had the chance to see many familiar faces.
Before the reception, I hustled the seniors into the art room for a screening of the 2012 all school lip-dub video. We were so trendy back then. It was the only year we tried it.
"Everything is so small here..."
I asked the seniors how it felt to walk our hallways at Dryden again. I kept hearing how everything was so small now.
