Here is me (above) with my mind exploding! I have hundreds of lessons that I've created from scratch over my decades of teaching. Teachers have been asking me how I do this or that for years. The answers are scattered around on my blog, social media, and in my presentations. It's time to package up my lessons and share them completely and neatly. The Sneetches comes to life using the EyeJack app after the effect is loaded by scanning the QR code.
This animation was made by
1. making out the character using Brushes Redux
2. Tracing the character in Do Ink Drawing app
3. Copying it multiple times and redrawing arms and legs in different poses to create a walking sequence
4. Then I used Do Ink composition mode to combine the masked photo and walking animation with a path.
5. I duplicated/flipped it to make it walk back.
This movie became the overlay and the original cover was the trigger in Eyejack app.
Art teachers in Wisconsin Rapids, WI wanted training in technology integration using iPads. They had recently acquired some iPads (not at 1:1 yet) for their art room. I shared a full day of my creation based transdigital lessons with them. Many of the ideas I shared had both a physical art making component and a digital extension that encompassed more art concepts as well as touching on the national art standards of creating, presenting, responding, and connecting.
