My Silver Lining Reflections
One year ago the school buildings closed. We were told to go home on that Friday the 13th with no immediate plan to return. I remember chatting about it with my pod and asking them what they thought of learning from home. I heard,
"I think it will mean I have more time to play"
"I'll be able to learn side by side with my siblings"
"I hope grandma will tutor me"
I looked at their faces and thought...is this it? Is this our last time together this school year? Is so, then, what can I give them? What can I say to help them transition?

Characters Emerge from Page
I've been thinking about layering an illustration of the character from a story over the text from the book. This digital collage demonstrates how the imagination and the author work together to help the a picture emerge from the pages.
