If you have been following me on twitter, you would know that I'm currently in an augmented reality frenzy. I keep wanting to make everything around me and my students come to life with augmented reality. I now have a collection of children's book covers that come to life through animation and the EyeJack app. Explore them here.
Visual literacy requires clear communication through images; both creating and interpreting
My transdigital approach to art education merges both traditional and digital methods across physical and digital spaces while giving students an opportunity to dive into ideas that were previously beyond what I could otherwise offer. Take a peek at the lessons I designed to help redefine learning for my elementary art students.

My Fugleflick filmmakers created this effect for their upcoming movie. It was intended to look like the artist was painting The Scream, by Edvard Munch, then becoming the subject of the painting with his own body. There were a bunch of steps to making this illusion. Let's see if we can spell them out below.
This trick doesn't have to be so tricky...
Spin into the art and Jump back out
Falling Out of a Painting
You can add the "magic" if you need to...

Try Your Best is the student made movie that inspired this video effect.

My Session: iPad Animation iDeas that Teach Concepts Dynamically
I plan on sharing about two dozen animation based lesson ideas that any teacher could use to give their students the tools to demonstrate understanding of curricular content with dynamic media. It's a fun, engaging, and potentially transformative way to teach. Below are interactive images in thinglink of my presentation handouts. Mouse over and click the ideas you want to explore. It will take you to the post where you can find my resources. Each lesson has a number that corresponds to a number in my Smore Flyer.
