Students could be challenged to create a pose that lends itself to a movement and then animate that movement using the options for actions, effects, or animations within the app. This can be done on both the Mac and iPad.
1. Before students even pick their iMove pose, they would randomly select an action, effect, or animation (like one from the list on the left) written on a slip of paper. 2. Then the students would have a chance to explore the app to get a feel for their selected animation, effect, or action. 3. They would then pose in a manner that compliments their selected action, effect, or animation. (for example: CUBE might inspire a mime pose as if they were trapped inside a box). 4. Students would then go through the steps of creating their silhouette against a color background, with chosen animation, effect, or action. 5. They would turn all their keynote projects in as keynotes to be compiled into one project which could be set to music and exported as a movie. |
Learning objectives:
- Students learn to create a silhouette using green screen & instant alpha.
- Students combine body language, animation techniques, and creative problem-solving to visually communicate movement from their own silhouette.
- Students contribute to a collaborative animated movie.
