Whoo hoo! I'm joining the team for the second annual (not just a) Green Screen Summit!
Take a look at how amazing it was last year. Sign up to stay in the loop about this year!
First graders just finished up their symmetrical monster portraits inspired by the book, Go Away, Big Green Monster. I wrote up thepost with all the steps here.
First graders have been working on apple still life paintings with overlapping. They filled the tablecloth and wallpaper with beautiful line, shape, and color patterns. They learned how to do touch ups and use our art room superhero, Black Marker, to hide any sloppy paint edges from the evil Sloppy Brush. I was honored with the opportunity to conduct a free online iPad class through EducationCloset's creator, Susan Riley. I used Google Hangout on air and mirrored my iPad with airserver. This gave me the chance to talk via the iSight camera and then share my iPad screen to talk through the steps for creating art lessons in Sketchbook Express.
I had 8 lessons I wanted to cover but only 45 minutes to share so I went pretty fast. I figured since the hangout was being recorded, I should pack as much in as a could and let viewers watch it at their own pace later. I worked from a packet of resources created for this course by Susan. I loaded into iBooks and navigated through my lessons using the packet to access all my links and templates for download. Over 125 people registered to view this online course live! (GULP!) That made me very nervous. I tried to leave the last 15 minutes for questions but with all my nerves I know I was missing a lot of them. I'll be heading back to theevent page to read through and answer what I can. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.
