What an amazing journey our Fugleflick Filmmakers have had with their award-winning movie, "Allow us to Illustrate". Last night they were invited to screen their film alongside other young filmmakers at the Schaumburg Team Screen Test Film Fest. Five of the 10 filmmakers were able to attend this event where filmmakers are invited on stage to introduce their movie, screen it before a live audience, and then come back up again to discuss the filmmaking process and field questions from the audience. Our students were SO impressive as they shared their experience of beta-testing, animating, and creating.

Allow us to illustrate was originally released in November of 2013 (see the original blog post here). Since then the filmmakers have enjoyed many successes!
1. It won the Cool Designs Contest in February 2014.
2. Filmmakers presented their movie and how it was made at the TEACHnology district fair.
3.It screened at the Extremely Young Film Festival in Texas in March 2014.
4. In April 2014 the film won VIDEO OF THE YEAR through Nextvista.org
5. Allow us to Illustrate was invited to enter two more festivals. (Acceptance is pending).

On May 19th our filmmakers celebrated their achievement with a Pizza Party from the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts. The girls enjoyed a wonderful lunch while watching their film, behind the scenes video, and a host of other video shorts to entertain them. Thank you!
