I had the opportunity topresent a breakout session at the Illinois Computer Educator Conference today (ICE). It was the first time since 2013 when Wesley Fryer sat in and live blogged my session (see his post here). I found myself extra nervous but some wonderful friends from my PLN came by to support me which boosted my courage. See their picts below. The above image is a sketchnote from three sessions I attended today including Adam Bellow's Keynote, Ben Grey's Spotlight, and Hether Hoffman's poster session. I found that I do a much better job of synthesizing information when I try to communicate it with images.

Liz at HUE offered to provide a door prize for my session today (thank you). It was an Animation Studio Kit (software and camera).

We played an elimination game to find a winner. Christina won since her dog's name had the letters HUE.

Tricia has been recognized for her innovative teaching in 2010 with the PBS Teachers Innovation Award, won Illinois Art Teacher of the Year in 2011, awarded Teacher of Distinction in 2012 by the Golden Apple Foundation, received Western Region Elementary Art Teacher of the Year 2013, selected to become a Jacobs Educator 2014-15, was presented with the NAEA Art Technology Outstanding Community Service Award in 2016, honored with the ISTE Teacher Educator Network Tech in Action award, 2018, and won an Art Education Leadership Award via Artsonia in 2019.
