The Lorax Speaks for the Earth

The third graders each spoke one portion of the Lorax poem through their artwork by layering their lips over their painting using the Green Screen app by Do Ink to make collaborative Earth Day class movies.

I am the Lorax I speak for the trees
a tree is a fine thing that everyone needs.
Let them grow
Let them grow
keep them from axes that chop
chopping down trees absolutely must stop!
I am the Lorax I speak for the air
the air is what we breathe everywhere
Keep it clean
Keep it clean
don’t pollute with car smog
take a walk, ride a bike, or go for a jog!
I am the Lorax I speak for the parks
the parks we all know are where the animals lark
let them play
let them play
amongst the mountains, trees, and brooks
no parks-then no animals
now how would that look?
I am the Lorax I speak for the ocean
a watery home full of life and motion
do not waste
do not waste
use your brain -always think
before you contaminate the water we drink

Authentic Audience: Arbor Day Assembly

3-1's Lorax class movie was completed in time to be screened at the tree ceremony assembly on May 9th where students and Arlington Heights Garden Club members were in attendance. How wonderful to have an audience for our class projects. The movie of the ceremony is here. Our film begins at 9:02.

How do I open the DoInk green screen file. I have DoInk on my phone. I downloaded the file but can't seem to open it. Any suggestions?

It used to be easier to open files on a device in a previous iOS. Now, I have to save the file to dropbox or google drive. Then, I can open them in Do Ink from that location.
