Students worked collaboratively to make a portrait of the Mona Lisa by Leonardo DaVinci from legos. Their challenge was to work on 1/6th of the portrait together each picking one corner of the plate and working towards the center. They could also choose to be the placer or the picker and work with a partner.
This collaboration stresses teamwork and gives students a concrete way of contributing to one group effort. The finished mural is a visual for how artists pool their talents together for a common goal which is necessary in many of the media arts occupations like filmmaking, animating, and advertising. |
