One of our goals was to make a movie that could be entered into the One Earth Film Festival. This Chicago area film festival will showcase student-made films on the environment in March 2020. See their blog post announcing the winners.

UPDATE: NextVista.org <<WINNER>>
When we began editing it became clear that we could make a shorter version of the movie that would fit the requirements for the 90 second student video contest through NextVista.org. We were able to enter the movie in time for the early deadline to receive some extra credit!

Students Made a Crayon Factory!
UPDATE: On March 13th, 2020 the schools closed and moved online to remote learning. I went back into the building on April 27th and collected the materials to complete the project at home. We had enough crayons to give every 1st grader a pack and each filmmaker two. They were labeled with the message:
Remelted crayons from our hearts
since there is no eARTh without ART
