Guess Something: Visual Literacy & Spelling Guessing Game
In 2012, my artist friend Holly and I began playing DrawSomething. We played for a couple of months. We were given words for each other to guess based on our drawings and the number of letters in the correct answer. As I drew, I took screenshots of my drawings. Since I was playing with an artist, I took my time with my artwork and was inspired by her creativity. I ended up with at least 55 really fun drawings that I made into a guessing game for my students.
The guessing game challenges students to apply visually literacy, cultural knowledge, and an understanding of spelling to guess the correct answers. Check it out!
