I was fortunate enough to attend my first ISTE conference ever. After I saw the price tag I understand now why this conference is a big deal to go to especially if you have to fly and stay in a hotel. This year it was in Chicago (so I could commute) and my administrators pulled together to support my registration (THANK YOU!)

10 Take Aways from my first ISTE
2. I need to play with the new drawing feature in the iPad keynote app. It can animate your drawing process as a playback. These ADEs used it to make a rotoscope video. Thanks Karlyb for explaining this feature to me.
3. I hung out with #sketchnoting folks like the amazing and sweet @heckawesome who #sketchiste and participated in #PasstheSketchnote. They shared a bunch of tips with me. I'm thankful for Wanda's procreate app tips like: making custom brushes (they become stamps), clicking an holding a line to make it straight, and setting a grid behind your sketch to make your work neat (a grid is a textured brush drawn on a layer in one stroke). YEAH! I felt like I had the best workshop takeaways from simply sitting next to her and saying, "What? How did you do that?"
