Please join me in welcoming (back) Ms. Koob to the art room at Dryden for the first 8 weeks of the school year as my student teacher.
Hello parents and faculty! My name is Nicole Koob and I will be the student teacher in the art room this semester. I am a student at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana double majoring in Art Education and Art History. My course background includes courses dealing with education as well as finding my own creative style in the arts. This semester my goal is to have students grasp a greater understanding of what art is and how it is truly an irreplaceable experience. I want to offer art as an outlet of expression to my students to help them gain a personal sense of accomplishment, ownership, and confidence while creating their work. I know that my teaching philosophy will be supported through Dryden’s art program because I am a former Dryden student and also had the opportunity to have Mrs. Fuglestad as my art teacher. I believe her teaching inspired my love for art and the desire to continue studying its history and impact on the world. I look forward to learning from Mrs. Fuglestad and gaining experience from Dryden’s art program, because with each interaction I have with my students, my understanding and appreciation for art grows stronger.http://msnicolekoob.weebly.com
